A special event for HopeKid girls and their moms which will provide a day of pampering.

BizEWorks will be creating hand made Father's Day cards to recognize some members of our elderly community.

In July, BizEHelps will be conducting a drive for new or gently used baby items such as swings, bouncers, mirrors, musical or other developmental toys. These items will be donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at University Medical Center in Tucson. With the recent state budget cuts, the unit currently has no budget for these items and they are desperately needed. Please email Laura@bizeworks.com for more information.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. BizEWorks will be helping the Arizona Down Syndrome Network with their annual Buddy Walk this month.

Hi Everyone!

For our December BizEHelps activity, we will be adopting a family for Christmas. I learned that Singleton Moms adopts out their families and we have not been assigned a single mom named Jamie who has two little boys-Damian is 3 and the Lamar is 18 months. Apparently, this family is very poor and one of the most in need they have ever had.

I just received their wish list, so I thought I would go ahead and put this out now. I know this past year has been difficult for many, but what a difference it would make to this mom if we could help out, however we can.

Please either respond to this message or emal me at Laura@bizeworks.com if there is something in particular you wanted to commit to. I asked Jody if they would be OK with gently used items as well, thinking that some of us might have some toys from our own kids that we could pass on. The mom is also asking for a pair of tennis shoes, as she has not owned a new pair of shoes in 6 years! Jody with Singleton Moms also suggested that instead of purchasing a gift card, we purchase the actual item, especially if it is for the mom for if she had a gift card she would most likely use it on the children and not herself.
